(I'm not certain how firm a grasp Tansy had at that time of the true nature of the bird-worm relationship!)
So, here are Morro and Tansy dressed as the 'Early Bird' catching the worm.
Tansy seemed quite content with how it all turned out, as long as she didn't have to wear
the worm hat for the entire parade.
15. Small towns in the midwest love to have parades and festivals during the summer. As part of the one in Winona, there was a children's parade with a theme of 'How Does
Your Garden Grow?' Morro offered to make Tansy a costume for the parade, and asked her what she wanted to be. Morro listed all sorts of wonderful garden plants and animals, but Tansy showed no interest. No
interest, that is, until Morro happened to mention EARTHWORMS! So, after triple-checking that Tansy was sure that she wanted an
earthworm costume, Morro sewed her one.
